With his training and emphasis on improvisation and flexibility, Michael has mastered the ability to read an audience and deliver exactly what they want at the right time. He has performed for everyone from the ‘man off the street’ - to the Prime Minister and is very conscious to treat them all the same; with respect and appreciation so that everyone feels included.

He will meet with organisers well in advance, and together create an event that guests will remember, often because of the ‘you had to be there’ nature of Michael’s style. As MC for our 3 day sales and service conference, Michael was AMAZING! He suggested catching up a few times before to understand our company, meet everyone and make suggestions for the event – something which a lot of other MC’s are too busy to do. Michael went above and beyond for our event ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. He also arranged and ran team building activities for the group which were a huge success. Michael Pope is indeed a Master of Ceremonies, making our Community Transport Organisation Annual Conference one to remember. He engaged delegates and our keynote speakers, lead our panel discussion, energised the room, and kept everyone entertained. Michael came to the event with a wealth of experience. From me personally, as events manager of a team of one, your presence took enormous pressure off me. You provided great humour and quick wit, a genuine interest in the subject matter of the other speakers and you worked exceptionally hard to make sure we ran as close as possible to the schedule and adjusting on the fly. Any other host and we’d have fallen of the rails. You are the difference between just an emcee and an event host. And you can print that. I would go as far as to say that you are the best host/emcee that we have employed in the 8 years that I have been involved with TIR’s conferences.


We were lucky enough to have Michael as our MC for our Annual Awards dinner at our conference this year. He was a delight to work with! He has a real ability to engage and entertain the crowd, shine the light on the award winners, all while keeping the agenda to time. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Michael Pope on a number of occasions and I consider him to be one of the most experienced and professional comperes, hosts, producers et al that I know. His interaction with people is fantastic and his public speaking is interesting, knowledgeable, humorous and reflects many years in the entertainment industry.


Michael was the MC at our Annual Conference this year. He was AMAZING! From the get-go, he immersed himself in our program, and from there proceeded to offer suggestions for improving the flow and impact of the speaker program. He made a wonderful effort to genuinely engage with our members, and delighted them with his industry knowledge and his genuine interest in their businesses. As the organiser, I appreciated that he never stopped working for us. He made sure that sessions ran to time, he chaired forums and panels with great distinction and some welcome humour; he greeted each speaker and updated them on the program, and just generally took control in the most unobtrusive way. He is supremely professional in this role. We will be using him again!

Thank you, Michael, for contributing to what was another outstanding conference at Hamilton Island. As MC your ability to manage the agenda with a perfect blend of humour made for a memorable conference for both the delegates and the plenary and break out presenters. Should you wish to ever promote the plenary session you delivered on Presenting Skills, I would gladly offer myself as a referee. The content of the presentation was outstanding and the talk amongst the room afterwards was that it will surely help our franchisees to run more effective seminars and customer meetings.


Michael’s a true professional. He has the knack of commanding the attention of all the people in the the room can quickly convey to the audience the purpose of the function and what is expected of them as an audience.
