Vic obtained his law degree from the University of Melbourne graduating with honours. He worked at one of Australia’s premier law firms training as a commercial solicitor before shifting to exclusively practice family law in 2003. He is an accredited Specialist in his field.
Vic runs his own family law practice operating as Vic Rajah Family Lawyers with offices in the Melbourne CBD, Sandringham and Cheltenham.
A passionate follower of AFL football and cricket, Vic also is an accomplished motivational speaker presenting on behalf of Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute and the Bone Marrow Donor Institute (now known as the Fight Cancer Foundation).
Vic was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 1997 as a fourth year university student. His cancer returned 12 months later and as an unrelated bone marrow donor could not be found, Vic was given a 10% chance to survive the next 5 years. That was 27 years ago and Vic is now married with 3 children with a busy career and community involvement.
Vic was a member of the Premier’s Youth Council from 1997 to 1999 and was awarded a Centenary of Federation medal by the Governor General for service to the community on youth issues.
He currently is Chairman of Bestchance, a leading not-for-profit charity which operates child therapy services, early childhood education programs, family support services and a school for primary school aged students suffering from behavioural and development challenges. He also consults to the board of Oakleigh Grammar School where he is Convenor of the school’s Business Network.
