Brooklyn Diwell is an emerging cricket talent who has recently completed Year 12 and is currently working full-time in civil construction. At just 18 years old, Brooklyn's cricket journey began at age 6, filling in for her sister's team, which sparked a lifelong passion for the sport.
Coming from a cricket-loving family, Brooklyn has developed her skills at Cardinia Cricket Club, progressing through the junior ranks before making her mark in senior men's cricket. Her trajectory has been impressive, starting in F grade and working her way up to A grade (2nd XI), with one notable appearance in Premier cricket (1st XI).
Rather than drawing inspiration from professional athletes, Brooklyn's cricket development has been shaped by the local cricket community and the mentors she's encountered throughout his journey. She particularly appreciates the strategic aspects of cricket and the constant tactical battles between batters and bowlers, along with the unpredictable nature of the game.
Brooklyn has already accumulated several significant achievements in her young career, including being named the best under-18s player in the Dandenong region for the 2023-24 season. Her bowling prowess is evident in his recent performances, including outstanding figures of 7-16 off 8.4 overs in Dandenong (2024-25) and 6-58 at the Victorian Under-19s level in 2024.
Beyond the technical aspects of the game, Brooklyn values the friendships and sportsmanship that cricket fosters, demonstrating a mature appreciation for the sport's social and community aspects at such a young age.
