Tom Boyd will go down as one of the most iconic names in Western Bulldog history.
A man mountain up forward, Boyd took the pressure of being the number 1 Draft pick in his stride in 2013.
After enjoying a solid debut season for the GWS Giants, Tom made a move back to Melbourne in what some would say the biggest trade in football history. Since arriving at the Kennel in 2015, Boyd quickly became the forward presence that the Western Bulldogs had been screaming out for, helping them reach the AFL Finals for the first time since 2010.
It was in 2016 though that will have Boyd’s name stamped in the history books. A breakout performance in the Doggies Premiership triumph win, kicking four goals to help the Dogs win their first Premiership in 62 years.
The Former #1 Draft pick and Western Bulldogs premiership hero TomBoyd is sharing his story following retirement at the young age of 23 due to mental health issues. An incredible insight into what the young Dog was faced with and the demons he has had to overcome.
Boyd shares an inspiring message with the hope to help others find happiness and speak out.
